In 1902 Messrs Victor Wrasses and Dinkle Hoven were visiting a beach in the Pacific Northwest when they discovered what they believed was the crime of the century!

There in the sand were dead starfish and the marks of two distinct female kinds of shoes. What kind of women would hurt such beloved creatures of the sea?

Spurious Nib New Years Resolutions Part 2

You might recall at the end of 1832 Penelope Just 

resolved to read the entire Bible in the new year.

On January 2, 1833 Penelope reported 

the last thing she remembered reading was, 

“And Joktan begat Almodad, and Sheleph, 

and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah, 

And Hadoram, and Uzal…”

 and then everything went dark.

Tommy Glockenspiel’s father asked his son 

to ring in the New Year with a rousing tuba solo of, 

“Im Frühtau zu Berge.” 

Tommy always refused 

and instead threw snowballs 

at the family’s goat named Hundefiedler!
